Club president says Chilean wants Manchester United transfer

Angelo Henriquez now looks certain to be leaving Manchester United this summer after his old club in Chile spoke out about the situation. Henriquez has failed to make an impact at Manchester United and had two unsuccesful loan periods, one with Wigan Athletic and one with Zaragoza. At Wigan Athletic the lack of chances Roberto Martinez gave the young striker was at times inexplicable and it was a waste of a loan for all concerned.
Zaragoza pinned their hopes on the youngster to get them promotion in Spain but the team wasn't good enough by some distance and they finished closer to the bottom of the table than top.
Henriquez, 20, has already represented his country a few times at senior level but his loan struggles haven't helped his progress. A permanent move is perhaps best for the player and Universidad de Chile are in a battle wirh Argentina's River Plate for the player.
Universidad de Chile's president Carlos Heller has told media in the country that he wants Henriquez and the players wants a Manchester United sanctioned transfer. Heller was quoted by El Mercurio as saying "We talked with the reps. It's very close, he also has an offer from River Plate, but I think he should come."
A return to Chile will be seen as a failure by many but Henriquez has plenty of time to fulfil his potential, he's not going to be able to do that through either pointless loans or sitting on the bench.
