News Update :

Vidal has already had Manchester United medical, agreement reached, what's going on?

Chilean newspaper El Mercurio said everything Manchester United fans wanted to hear about Arturo Vidal on Tuesday. They claimed that an agreement to sign the player was total. Manchester United and Juventus had found a middle-ground they could work on and the midfielder had accepted personal terms without too much of a problem.
They also stated that medical checks had been carried out at the request of Manchester United. That was taken, El Mercurio stated, from a Gazzetta dello Sport claim. They say Manchester United wanted to know the state of Vidal's knee and so carried out medical checks in Turin on Monday.
Manchester United fans fans could choose to believe all of that or view it with suspicion. There had been reports in the very same Chilean newspaper not so long ago that Juventus' medical department had been frustrated with the Chilean national set-up for not keeping them up to date on Vidal's knee. Therefore the idea of the Italian club conducting a medical as soon as Vidal arrived back from his summer break makes complete sense, it's highly likely the whole thing had nothing to do with Manchester United.
In addition, Gazzetta dello Sport say themselves on Wednesday that the Vidal situation hasn't changed as far as Juventus are concerned. They state he's not for sale and the only way he goes is for a club to pay a huge fee and for the player himself to tell Juventus that he wants out. They don't think either has happened, but then Gazzetta have been changing their tune daily.
